Our Team of Gardeners & Landscapers in Athens

  • Clyde Yates, Owner

Clyde helped found the Roots Farm CSA in 2001 with Sara Callaway and Chris Lutz, and he managed the farm with Sara throughout the 2008 season. Hungry Gnome Gardenscapes grew out of his experience at Roots, where he worked to connect people to their food. Seeking to share what he has learned from the garden, he create Hungry Gnome Gardenscapes as a way to connect people with the land that surrounds them, to shorten the journey that food makes from "field to table", and to recreate our often unappreciated and unsustainable landscapes as regenerative gardenscapes, where food and pleasure abound.

Clyde thoroughly enjoys the interpersonal connections that he gains through this work and particularly delights in watching excitement develop on a client's face as they imagine the opportunities that are possible on their land.
